Kiwanis Club of Utica sponsors the Key Club at Proctor High School in Utica. Key Clubs focus on service to the community, building tomorrow’s leaders, and creating fellowship between Key Club members. Service, a fundamental element of Key Club International, is exemplified by the more than one million hours of service Key Club members contribute on campuses and in communities annually. A primary focus of Key Club International, and shared with Kiwanis International, is serving the children of the world. The Proctor High School Key Club has initiated the Cinderella's Closet project to provide prom dresses to students who can not afford to purchase dresses. This project is just one example of the Key Clubs focus on their fellow students and the Utica community.  Our club donates over $1000 annually to support the Proctor High School Key Club.

Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities.

Today, Key Club exists on more than 5,000 high school campuses, primarily in the United States and Canada. Growth efforts, however, have taken the Key Club experience internationally to Canada, the Caribbean nations, Central and South America, and most recently to Asia and Australia
